Bigarren etorrera
William Butler Yeats
euskaratzailea: Andolin Eguzkitza
Bira eta biraka zabalduz doan biraketan
Aztoreak ezin entzun dezake ehiztaria;
Gauzak anabisitzen dira; erdiguneak ezin dio eutsi;
anarkia hutsa askatu egiten da munduaren gainean,
Odolez ˇlunduriko itsaskera askatzen da, eta toki guztietan
Lańotasunaren zirimonia ˇtoa izaten da;
Onenek ez dute inongo uste sendorik, txarrenak
Intentsitate pasionatuz beterik dauden bitartean.
Hain segur agerkunderen bat dago eskura;
Haˇn segur Bigarren Etorrera dago eskura.
Bigarren Etorrera! Ozta daude berba hauek kanpoan
Spiritus Mundi-ren irudi eskerga batek
Nahastatzen didanean ikusmena: nonbait eremuaren hareatan
Lehoi gorputzeko forma bat eta burua gizon batena,
Eguzkˇa bezaˇn huts eta errukirik gabea den begiradarekˇn,
Astiro higitzen ari da bere iztarrak, guztiorren gainean
Eremuko hegazti duineztanen itzalek biribilkatzen diren bitartean.
Iluntasuna ostera ere nagusitzen da; baina orain badakit
Lo sendoko hogei gizaldiak
Eldarnˇo bihurtu zituena sehaska kulunkari batek,
Eta zein piztia latza, beraren ordua azkenez iritsirik,
Beheratuz doa Bethlemenera jaioa izateko?
The Second Coming
Turning and turning in the wdinening gyre / The falcon connot hear the
falconer; / Things fall apart; the centre cannot hold; / Mere anarchy is loosed
upon the world, / The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere / The
ceremony of innocence is drowned; / The best lack all conviction, while the
worst / Are full of passionate intensity. // Surely som revelation is at hand;
/ Surely the Second Coming is at hand. / The Second Coming! Hardly are those
words out / When a vast image out of Spiritus Mundi / Troubles my sight:
somewhere in sands of the desert / A shape with lion body and the head of a
man, / A gaze blank and pitiless as the sun, / Is moving its solow thighs,
while all about it / Reel shadows of the indignant desert birds. / The darkness
drops again; but now I know / That twenty centuries of stony sleep / Were vexed
to nightmare by a rocking cradle, / And what rough beast, its hour come round
at last, / Slouches towards Bethlehem to be born?
